The following table shows how many 2圆 rafter brackets are included (together with stainless steel screws & black screw covers) based on the span (4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 feet) and spacing option (far, medium or close spacing) you choose.

The 2圆 rafter slats can (but don't necessarily have to) extend beyond the edge of the beams below them, creating overhangs on each end. This pergola roof kit utilizes 2圆 rafter brackets so you can attach a series of 2圆 rafters above the 6圆 beams (creating a second roof 'layer' to give the pergola's roof a more traditional look).
